The Witness

The Witness
Lord, let me be a witness to someone today,
To aid some lost soul who’s been led astray.
Let something I say or something I do
Give someone directions to bring them to You.
It may not be much, just a bit of a clue
That there’s more to this life than maybe they knew.

Let me walk this old earth with Your mission so clear,
That everyone sees my Christ, who always lives here.
Here in my heart where I’ve asked Him to stay
And walk with me daily and show me His way.
The way’s not always easy, the Word sometimes unheard
But always He walks with me, having given me His word.

He’ll never desert us, though desert Him we may,
But all we need do is to ask Him each day,
“Lord, please guide me in all that I do,
Help me always to Your word to be true;
And finally lead me to our home up above
Where we’ll be surrounded by so very much love”.

Can you imagine! Our glory divine!
To live forever with Saints all the time?
To walk with our Jesus and see His great smile
And be perfectly happy all of the while,
And see Peter and Paul and Matthew and Moses
I can hardly wait for the glory that poses!

This is truly inspired! It is also something to be remembered about our responsibilities as a Christian.
